What is the most satisfactory aspect of playing rugby?

For me, it’s winning, you get used to winning. I come down from Dublin twice a week, we train hard and, as a result, we win games. It’s not easy to drive down twice a week but when you see the numbers at training and when you look at the table, it makes it all worthwhile.Majella Lavin

What are you memories of that famous cup run in 1983?

The kids in school were telling me about the video of the second score, the drop-goal, on Youtube but I haven’t seen it. [It wasn’t planned], it was just one of those things. The game finished 6-3Denis Byrne

We’re embarking on yet another huge project in our club to install match standard flood lights on our main pitch.
This will become a reality over the next 10 weeks and will set up the club to host matches under lights.
We will have facilities to rival a lot of senior clubs when it is all completed.

We have started a fundraiser of “Sponsor A Light” for €250 per light.

A “Sponsor A Light” board will be put up in the club honouring all who have helped this project become a reality.
